German Patriot Systems were transported to Kahramanmaras in December 2012. The Chancellor visited the Patriot Systems with the Turkish Defence Minister Yilmaz and Colonel Ellermann.
The Patriot defence systems are to protect Turkey against any Syrian missile attacks.
