Berlin, 12 September 2023: Federal Chancellor Scholz attended the 37th international peace meeting of the catholic organisation Sant‘Egidio and gave a speech in which he highlighted the importance of following the path of peace: “In a world with many new power centres, in ever more diverse and individualised societies, we must all re-learn to co-exist with mutual respect for our diversity,” the Federal Chancellor said.
Olaf Scholz also attended the COSMO Machiavelli video podcast as a guest on Tuesday. During the podcast about rap and politics, he met not only the presenters Jan Kawelke (front) and Vassili Golod (right), but also the rap star RIN (back).
Berlin, 13 September 2023: Franco-German relations are uniquely close and diverse, and are shaped by ongoing discussions at all political levels. This was demonstrated when the French Minister of the Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire took part in the cabinet meeting to discuss the “transformation of industry in the face of global competition”.
Federal Chancellor Scholz offered his congratulations at the anniversary of the German Brands Association, which has been promoting fair and free competition for the past 120 years with a major focus on trademark protection: “I would like to declare my clear support of strong trademark protection in Germany and the European Union,” the Federal Chancellor said.
In his speech at the “60 years of Bundesliga” gala event, Olaf Scholz congratulated the German national football league and praised the significance of football for society as a whole, however, he also highlighted the corresponding responsibility.
